Devotional Songs - Pad Kirtan
on Yugal Madhuri
(Sweetness of the Divine Couple-Radha Krishna)
This is from the collection of devotional songs or pad kirtan in "Prem Ras Madira" on Yugal Madhuri or the sweetness of the Divine couple, Radha Krishna.
The absolute essence of Divine love is Shri Radha. Only Shri Krishna understands Shri Radha, but when He tries to fathom the complete depth of Her love, He fails because His Divine consciousness merges into Her loving sweetness.
Thus only Shri Radha is the ultimate knower of Herself. Still, Shri Radha and Shri Krishna are one, or it could be said that Radha Herself has become Krishna.
Shri Krishna is like the beauty of Divine love, and Shri Radha is the sweetness of that love.
The simultaneous dual and nondual nature of both Their forms and the love They share is the subject of Yugal Madhuri pads.
Divine love is beyond human conception, but using these descriptions as a base for your devotional imagination, you visualize the scene, actions, and feelings that these pads evoke, and you can long to recieve that love one day. Click here for Hindi.
